This class is for you, if you'd like to learn deep, powerful growls in style similar to Jinjer, Opeth, Arch Enemy. You can be either a complete beginner or have some experience singing with your clean voice but would like to dive into the world of extreme vocals.

This class is intended for FLINTA* individuals, including trans people of all genders, and follows safer space practices.

*FLINTA: Female, Lesbian, Intersex, Non-Binary, Trans and Agender people

We will start with healthy vocal routines and breathing technique, then go through the anatomical background of growling, most common risks and how to avoid them. With small practical exercises we will learn how to growl first letters, then move towards growling words and sentences from your favourite songs.

Every lesson includes a warm up, after which we will start working on a new weekly topic. We will also share our latest progress and challenges and look for solutions together. There will be time for questions at the end of each lesson.

After completing this course, you can continue developing your technique in the GROWL like a PRO group.

The benefit of learning in a small group is, that you get to learn not just from the teacher, but from other participants who are on a similar journey. This often creates a very supportive and motivating learning environment.

Group lessons are also a more affordable way to take regular vocal training if private lessons are not in your budget. The small group size still allows for some individual guidance when needed.

The course language can be adjusted as per the participants' needs. If one or more of the participants is not comfortable communicating in German, the lessons will be held in English. If all participants feel comfortable doing the lessons in German, German can be used.

Rockhaus is unfortunately not wheelchair accessible. There is 1 step to the main door followed by 8 steps before the elevator. I also cannot personally guarantee the elevator is always on use- there are times that it is out of service due to the heavy loading musicians need to use it for. The course takes place at the 2nd floor.

I offer private lessons also via Zoom but at the moment the group lessons take place in person.
