This class was born from the wishes of participants who completed GROWL like a GRRRL or KICKSTART your GROWL and felt they needed more time and guidance to practice and consolidate the skills learned. GROWL BOOST is also great for preparing for the advanced growling class GROWL like a PRO.

The focus is not on entirely new material, but on strengthening and refining the techniques introduced in the first class. This also allows more individual guidance for participants who want it. Towards the end of the course, new topics may be introduced as a bonus if the participants wish to explore them.

We will revisit healthy vocal routines, breathing techniques, and safe approaches to growling. Through targeted exercises, you’ll reinforce the foundations of growling and gain confidence applying them to words, phrases, and passages from your favorite songs.

The program builds on my experience teaching growling at international workshops since 2019 and with private students in Berlin since 2021. After launching GROWL like a GRRRL in 2024 my growling classes have grown to be a complete series of courses from beginner to advanced, GROWL BOOST filling the reuqest for an intermediate level group.

This class is open for all genders and identities. The course follows safer space practices.

The benefit of learning in a small group in comparison to private vocal lessons is, that you get to learn not just from the teacher, but from others participants too! If you are shy in using your voice in front of others, a supportive small group might be just the environment to build up your confidence.

Group lessons are also a great opportunity to take affordable vocal lessons, if private lessons are not in your budget. We will start every lesson by a round sharing our latest progress and challenges and look for solutions together. Every lesson includes a warm up, after which we will start working on a new weekly topic. I will try to save time for questions at the end of each lesson.

The course language can be adjusted as per the participants' needs. If one or more of the participants is not comfortable communicating in German, the lessons will be held in English. If all participants feel comfortable doing the lessons in German, German can be used.

The course consists of 4x60min lessons in a small group of maximum to 5 people.

Once the payment has been made, it cannot be refunded.

If a participant gets sick or otherwise is not able to attend one or all of the lessons, the course payment won't be refunded partially or in whole.

If the teacher gets sick, replacing lesson is provided on 10.3.2026. If the participant is not able to take part in the replacing lesson, the course payment won't be refunded partially or in whole.

Rockhaus is unfortunately not wheelchair accessible. There is 1 step to the main door followed by 8 steps before the elevator. I also cannot personally guarantee the elevator is always on use- there are times that it is out of service due to the heavy loading musicians need to use it for. The course takes place at the 2nd floor.

I offer private lessons also via Zoom but at the moment the group lessons take place in person.
